Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr Further Strengthens its Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice With Addition of John D. Demmy
Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP today announced that John D. Demmy has joined the firm as a partner in the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice. He will be resident in the firm’s Wilmington, Delaware office.
Mr. Demmy is an experienced restructuring attorney who has been involved in many of the major bankruptcy cases in the District of Delaware over the past 30 years. His diverse practice has included representations of all parties in interest in bankruptcy and related litigation proceedings including debtors, creditors’ and ad hoc committees, asset purchasers, insurers and various types of creditors. He has also appeared in major bankruptcies in the Southern District of New York and other bankruptcy jurisdictions, including Texas, Louisiana, California, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Minneapolis, Virginia and North Carolina. In addition, Mr. Demmy is an experienced commercial litigator and has handled such matters in the Delaware Court of Chancery, the Delaware District Court and the Delaware Superior Court. He also regularly provides opinions with respect to matters of bankruptcy and Delaware law relating to Delaware entities.

Mr. Demmy earned his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and his B.S. from Albright College.
